There are actually two web based instant PPC Ad Spying tool available online. They are Google Cash Detective 2 (GCD) and PPC Bully 2. GCD was first tool that offer instant PPC Ad Spying capability. It was tempting as the ability it can track thousands of my competitors keywords.However, the price tage was too high and Chris Carpenter has closed the door before I have decided.
Recently, I managed to try the GCD 2 with a dollar and compare with the PPC Bully 2 that I have owned.
User Interface
PPC Bully 2.0 has a nicer user interface and easy to navigate.PPC Bully is capable to filter Profitability Index and Search Volume as compared to GCD2.
GCD slideshow capability is cool way to view competitor landing pages.

Google Cash Detective 2 is more flexible and offers more options to search through its data. You can search by keywords, destination url, landing pages and ads. However, PPC Bully 2 only offers the first 3 options, but not the ad search option.

GCD 2 allows you to wildcard as query operators to filter down your results. So http://*.clickbank.net would find all Clickbank affiliates. You can also use + to include a keyword term and - to exclude a term. Acai -free query would match anything with “Acai” in it except “free” keyword. GCD supports the AND & OR operator which allow you to create boolean queries. PPC Bully 2 don’t seem to have any explicit operators like this.
Results
Overall Google Cash Detective 2 is capable to display more results for any query. PPC Bully perform the query that have “too many results”. Queries like hop.clickbank.net or t202kw= both fail because of this limitation.
Final Thoughts
Both PPC Bully 2 and Google Cash Detective 2 have their own strengths and weaknesses. I think in the hands of an experienced pay per click marketer, both tools can be very effective.
